Some behind the scenes news – our chef line-up has been slowly coming together for the free weekly Pigtown Cookery Demos series, and now we can reveal the full collection of talent that will be taking part in the demos at the Milk Market each Saturday in September…
Ciara Brennan of Happy Food at Home with ‘The Firefighting Chef’ Paul Knapp from TV3’s Ireland AM and more guests including Theresa Storey of The Green Apron will kick off the series on Saturday September 1st with a Back to School theme.
Saturday September 8th sees Limerick Food Group members and chefs Eithne Gavigan of LIT Culinary Arts, and Tom Flavin, Executive Chef of the Limerick Strand Hotel, local Fáilte Ireland Food Champion with a list of awards including the 2017 winner of Ireland’s Menu Provenance Award for his dedication to local suppliers and local produce.
Saturday September 15th we welcome renowned Wade Murphy of 1826 Adare, winner of more plaudits and awards than we can count as well as regular TV appearances – including Michelin Bib Gourmand, Best Chef in Munster and Best Restaurant in Munster.
Saturday September 22nd it’s the turn of talented Limerick man Peter Jackson, Executive Chef at the Armada Hotel, Co. Clare, finalist Ireland’s Executive Chef of the Year and winner of Ireland’s inaugural Cono Sur Chef Challenge.
Saturday September 29th sees Mike Tweedie, Head Chef at Adare Manor‘s The Oak Room treat us to a cookery demo. Mike was a semi-finalist in the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2018 and has been impressing all since the relaunch of the five star luxury destination Adare Manor resort.
Remember the Pigtown Cookery Demos take place EVERY SATURDAY in SEPTEMBER in the Milk Market, in the upstairs Mezzanine.
