Join us at No.1 Pery Square for a family style piggy picnic on our Georgian terrace. Siobhan and Tom from Teacht Linn Tours have teamed up with local restaurants, brewers and producers to create a guided craft beer trail with a twist. Join them in a beer and food experience where you will pair a locally brewed craft beer with each element of a specially created deconstructed sandwich. They will take you to six of Limerick’s finest public houses, introduce you to the brewers and suppliers of the samples you taste, and showcase some of the finest food and drink in the country. Come along and learn about the wild and feral, edible and medicinal plants growing right in our doorsteps. Led by Local Author and Ethnobotanist Theresa Storey from The Green Apron. 1.00pm – The East Room Foraging & 4-Course Tasting Lunch

Learn about the wild edible plants growing on the UL campus, with The East Room resident forager. Derek and his team regularly forage the UL campus and use fermentation to preserve the season’s bounties. This foraging tour will end in The East Room with a 4-course lunch, which will comprise of last season’s foraged preserves and local seasonal produce. 6.30pm – Leon’s Lifeline Cooking Demo with Rachel Allen

Food and fun packed evening with celebrity chef Rachel Allen who is kindly donating her time and talents to entertain Limerick audiences with a cooking demo in aid of the Leon’s Lifeline fundraising campaign. Leon O’Connor has secondary progressive multiple sclerosis which is affecting his life severely and he has chosen to raise funds to travel to Russia where he can avail of potentially life-changing HSCT stem cell therapy. The night in the Strand will kick off with a wine reception where audience members can place bids on some amazing prizes in our silent auction. Local chef and food ambassador Tom Flavin will kick off the proceedings with a cooking demo of some of his much loved dishes. Rachel then takes centre stage to entertain us with a demonstration of some delicious autumn dishes. Two lucky participants will win the prize of getting to enjoy the prepared dishes as they are made. All proceeds will go to helping to save the health of this vibrant young Limerick man. Price €25. The Limerick Food Mile Evening Package inclusive of the 3-course dinner, Treaty City Beer with each course (or wine alternative), Treaty City Brewery Tour and transport to each venue. Cost €65 per person plus booking fee. As this is a unique event places are strictly limited to 48 people.

Come to The East Room and experience the unique culinary talents of award winning chef Derek Fitzpatrick. The 7-course tasting menu consists of various modern scientific techniques, which Derek uses daily in his approach to producing The East Room signature dishes. Brought to you by New Leaf Urban Farm and Oak & Apple Adare. 30-seater pop up event, the Veggie Barbeque, at New Leaf Urban Farm in Ballyneety. The BBQ will cater for Vegans and Vegetarians and Flexitarians. The purpose is to celebrate the wonderful bounty of vegetables produced by Kevin Wallace at New Leaf Urban Farm.

The meal will comprise of the following six courses: Beet & Tomatoes; Turnip & Nasturtium; Carrots, Fennel & Cucumber; Celeriac, Courgette, Spinach & Apple; Mint & Elderberry; Courgette, Carrot, Fennel & Blackberry

Each course will be available as vegan or vegetarian, just advise of your preference via your ticket choice.

The meal will be hosted in one of the polytunnels on the farm and an element of each course will be cooked over coals. It’s a BBQ with a difference and as zero miles as it gets.

Tuscany at the Granary is delighted to host a charity event for Leon’s Lifeline. 2019 Love Island Winner and local Limerick man Greg O’Shea will be serving up the Pig on a Spit in celebration of Pigtown and in support of Leon’s Lifeline. Also Riff Shop, one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging acts, will be blasting out the tunes on the night.

Leon O’Connor has secondary progressive multiple sclerosis which is affecting his life severely and he has chosen to raise funds to travel to Russia where he can avail of potentially life-changing HSCT stem cell therapy. Leon’s Lifeline has achieved just over half way to their goal of hitting their target amount and we hope this event will help get Leon to where he needs to be.
